Determination of the Effectiveness of MMS Against COVID-19

Determining the effectiveness of chlorine dioxide against COVID-19

Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of this review is to determine the effectiveness of orally administered chlorine dioxide in treating COVID-19.

Methods: Research into the mechanism by which chlorine dioxide acts on viruses, the oral consumption of ClO2 dissolved in water, and its toxicity.
A quasi-experimental study examined the oral use of water-soluble chlorine dioxide to treat 20 patients with active COVID-19 infection, compared with a control group of 20 patients who did not receive chlorine dioxide treatment.

Results: To compare outcomes between the experimental and control groups, a test comparing proportions and their confidence levels was used for general symptoms. For the VAS and Likert criteria, a paired comparison was carried out using the Wilcoxon–Mann–Whitney test.

(α: 95%). Comparing the experimental and control groups on the seventh day after symptom onset, a significant difference was found for fever (p: 0000), cough (p: 0.0000), chills (p: 0.0000), and shortness of breath (p: 0.0006). In the visual analogue comparison of pain between the control and experimental groups, all elements of the scale showed a significant reduction in the experimental group compared with the control group (p: 0.0000; p: 00017). On day 14, the difference was greater (p: 0.000; p: 0.0043). Laboratory assessment of both groups showed differences in C-reactive protein values on day 7 (p: 0.0001) and lactate dehydrogenase (0.0036), with higher values in the experimental group; D-dimer differed on day 7 (p: 0.0194) and day 14 (p: 0.0029). Differences were found across all parameters. The overall results (p <0.05) prove the hypothesis that chlorine dioxide is effective in treating COVID-19.

Conclusion: Chlorine dioxide is effective in treating COVID-19, and this paper proposes mechanisms of action that could explain this effect.

We recommend further research.

We recommend double-blind studies and more extensive investigation of the toxicological safety and therapeutic effectiveness of chlorine dioxide for conditions with epidemiological implications in the near future.
